This is the best lens if you wish to want to do people/fashion photography. I consider myself an amateur photographer so did not wanted to spend too much on lenses without understanding the difference. This lens for the price was worth giving it a try and I just love it. the DoF is amazing on this one but since it is a fixed lens you need to be very close to the subject. for the price it is a fantastic purchase. highly recommended
